A never-ending bombardment of self-doubt mixed with swirling guilt of never quite being good enough is now a normalized and commonly shared female condition.
My art work aims to visually and aesthetically manifest the inner emotional, mental and physical feelings experienced by females in male dominated environments through intensive digital and manual process(es). Using both physical and digital media, I seek to explore the depths of such complex emotional and mental states. Implementing both 2-D and 3-D elements within my art, I work to communicate the multi-faceted inner emotional, mental and physical experiences living and working as a woman in a male dominated society. My work intends to inform both the audience and myself a better understanding of our environments; how these environments shape us; and how we can free ourselves from presumptions.
